Admission procedure

A simplified admission procedure

FIGS Education is by your side every step of your study plan – from your application to your arrival in France.

How to apply

The FIGS Education team guides you through every step of your admission process: compiling your application file for the selected school and program, preparing you for the admission interview, supporting you with administrative procedures for obtaining your visa, and providing advice to help you prepare for your arrival in France.

1. Application

  • Reach out to the nearest FIGS office to prepare your application or apply directly on figs-education.com
  • Pay the application fees

2. Admission

  • Admission interview
  • Announcement of the admission jury decision
  • If your application is successful, you will receive confirmation of your admission

3. Registration

  • Payment of the 1st tuition fee deposit to confirm your admission (deductible from your tuition fees | refundable in full if your visa is refused or if you fail your chosen diploma)
  • Confirmation of your enrolment and start of the visa application process (can take up to 8 weeks in some countries)

4. Student visa

All students who are not nationals of the European Economic Area must obtain a long-stay visa (VLS-TS) to study in France for stays of more than 3 months.

Visa application must be made to the French consulate or embassy in your place of residence.

The national long-stay visa valid as a residence permit (VLS-TS) for "students" (>3 months) is granted to foreign students wishing to continue their studies in a French higher education institution for a period of more than 3 months.

This visa is valid as a residence permit for the duration of its validity, once it has been approved by the OFII (Office Français de l'Immigration et de l'Intégration). You have to contact OFII as soon as you arrive in France.

Steps to follow:

A) Campus France
• Create your file on the website of the Campus France agency in your country of residence
• Complete the Campus France online application file
• Take your Campus France interview

B) French Consulate
• Make an appointment with the French Consulate in your country of residence
• Bring all your documents including supporting documents
